Helping Oxford & DARS Setup for CW NFD

Posted by: peter In: contesting

Although I’m not actually a member of the local radio club (Oxford & D.A.R.S) I do always help out if I’m needed. On Friday afternoon the club arrived at Worminghall, Oxfordshire to setup for RSGB CW Field Day the setup antenna wise was going to be a A4S and wires for the other bands.

The tower

We were lucky in the fact that the BBC weather forecasts kept saying it was going to be wet but the only bit of rain we saw as a few spots which didn’t come to anything by 6pm we’d managed to setup the tower/beam/dipoles for 80-40-160m and got the operating and cook tent up so all that really needed done was set up the rigs Saturday!
