Morning on the Air

Posted by: peter In: digital modes

I’m not known for getting up early for anything, but as I had a very restless night (resulted in zero sleep) by around 6am I was looking for something to do. After a spot of breakfast and a cup of tea and I decided that I’d go and see what was on the bands.

I first looked on 80m although there was some activity I couldn’t hear any DX so to speak; I did manage to work OK1WCF on PSK31. After that I decided to move to 40m on this band I managed to have nine PSK31 contacts before stopping just before 8am GMT.

This brings my total count for Christmas contacts to 51.
